About Alex
Alexandre "Alex" Rita made history before he ever turned professional. At the 2022 IMMAF World Championships he became the first Portuguese fighter to reach a world final, taking silver at featherweight after a decision loss to New Zealand's Kasib Murdoch in Belgrade. That run capped an amateur career of 13-10-1 and a top-five European ranking, built across IMMAF world and continental campaigns.
He turned pro in May 2026 at WOW FC 30, dropping to bantamweight and losing a decision on debut. The record reads 0-1. The résumé reads world finalist.
Training out of Academia Unlimited in Barreiro under Luis Barneto, Rita is rebuilding at 61 kg with the same ground game that carried Portugal to its first world final.
